Raj Menda is Co-Founder and Chair of the Supervisory Board at RMZ, India's largest privately owned real assets platform, bringing together real assets and private capital across six Indian cities. His mandate at the Supervisory Board is to define the conditions under which RMZ continues to earn the trust of the world's most demanding long-horizon capital.
As Chairman of the FICCI Committee on Urban Development and Real Estate, he has made a consistent argument: that India's commercial real estate market has crossed a structural threshold, from a cost centre managed by occupiers to a strategic lever that determines where global capital flows, where high-value employment concentrates, and where global enterprises plant themselves for a generation. Regulatory frameworks, infrastructure readiness, and the institutional conditions that sovereign and pension capital require before committing at multi-decade horizons remain the most consequential variables in India's long-cycle capital story. Getting them right is not a background condition. It is the primary work. Under his oversight, RMZ became the first company globally to achieve the WELL Health Safety Rating, a marker of the conviction that the built environment is a system for human productivity; and that institutional investors hold that standard as a prerequisite.
He was the first Indian to serve as Chairman of the Jury for the Urban Land Institute Awards for Excellence and is a past member of the ULI Global Jury. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the FICCI Committee on Urban Development and Real Estate.
