Raj Menda is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and co-founder of RMZ, which is wholly owned by the Menda family. Raj has been involved in all phases of RMZ’s development since its founding in 2004. Under his leadership, the firm is dedicated to owning, developing, managing, and investing in businesses across asset classes. In his role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Raj is among the principal architects of RMZ’s ambitious trajectory. He champions a hyper-growth strategy, leveraging exponential technologies to disrupt traditional urban development practices. Under his stewardship, RMZ not only prioritises sustainability but also strategically invests in emerging sectors, thereby positioning RMZ as a vanguard of innovation in the industry.

Raj’s ability to balance the interests of shareholders and stakeholders with RMZ’s objectives enables him to mediate disputes effectively. Raj Menda is notably the first Indian to serve as the Chairman of the Jury for the Urban Land Institute’s Awards for Excellence and has also held a position on the Urban Land Institute Global Jury. Presently, he serves as the Joint Chairman of FICCI's Committee on Urban Development & Real Estate for 2025. Through his leadership, Raj exemplifies a strong commitment to advancing the alternate assets sectors.

Kunal Menda is a second-generation leader and member of the Supervisory Board, RMZ. He plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s capital allocation and venture expansion strategies. Kunal's focus is on leveraging optimisation techniques and machine learning to develop frameworks for alternative asset underwriting and portfolio construction. With extensive experience in AI and machine learning, he aims to explore venture opportunities in emerging sectors within this field.

Arshdeep Sethi

President, RMZ Real Estate

Arshdeep Sethi is the CEO of RMZ Real Estate at RMZ. A seasoned executive with over thirty years of diverse experience, Sethi has been instrumental in all phases of the firm’s evolution, overseeing operations and acquisitions while guiding the company’s strategic vision. Based in Bengaluru, he leads the executive board committee, comprising vertical CEOs, ensuring a unified and forward-thinking approach to RMZ’s ambitious objectives.

Sethi has been pivotal in executing some of India’s largest transactions in real estate history, thereby providing vital growth capital and strategically positioning RMZ for its next phase of diversification and expansion. As the architect of the Mergers and Acquisitions division, he has orchestrated transformative mergers, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions, reinforcing RMZ’s market leadership.

Actively participating in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Sethi leverages his expertise to represent the real estate industry in engagements with government bodies. His influence extends to speaking at prestigious industry conferences, advising respected academic institutions, and collaborating with Harvard Business School to cultivate innovative growth strategies for RMZ.

Thirumal Govindaraj

CEO, RMZ Office and RMZ NXT

Thirumal Govindraj is a distinguished leader in India’s real estate sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of RMZ Office and RMZ NXT (Industrial and Logistics). With over 25 years of industry experience, Thirumal has significantly contributed to RMZ’s growth and success. As a key member of the Executive Board, he oversees vital functions such as Board and Strategic Planning, Asset Management, and Property Management.

Under Thirumal’s leadership, RMZ has developed a diverse tenant portfolio and achieved a notable increase in Net Operating Income (NOI). He has also established RMZ as the custodian of India’s largest LEED ARC (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Accredited Professional) portfolio, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable practices. In his role as CEO of RMZ NXT, Thirumal has been pivotal in driving growth and operational excellence.

His career includes leadership positions with esteemed International Property Consultants, notably CBRE, where he has emphasised stakeholder confidence and well-being initiatives.

Based in Bengaluru, Thirumal has spearheaded significant real estate transactions, including built-to-suit projects for Honeywell, Shell, and KPMG, as well as leases with major corporations like Morgan Stanley, SAP, and Qualcomm. Through his commitment to excellence, Thirumal continues to shape the real estate landscape in India, positioning RMZ as a leader in innovation and sustainability.

Avnish Singh

CEO, RMZ Real Estate Investments, RMZ Capital Markets & Investor Relations

In his role, Avnish directs the firm’s strategic growth, with a keen focus on acquisitions, astute development management, and capital raising endeavours across global markets. His leadership is integral to RMZ’s hyper-growth strategy. 

A prominent member of the real estate industry, Avnish was a founding member of JLL in India and held esteemed positions at GE Capital and Tishman Speyer. With a career spanning over two decades, he brings forth an exceptional expertise in real estate acquisitions, asset management, and investor relations. His acumen has been pivotal in cultivating and sustaining global partnerships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and private equity investors.

Saandip Kundu

Saandip Kundu is the Chief Executive Officer of RMZ Private Capital and a member of the Executive Board at RMZ. In his role, Saandip leads RMZ’s foray into private equity across high-growth sectors such as consumer, healthcare, wellness, sports, and media. He is responsible for defining the investment strategy, building operating platforms, and driving long-term value creation across RMZ’s alternative investments portfolio.

With over two decades of leadership experience, Saandip has held senior positions at premier global and Indian institutions including Wells Fargo Real Estate Asia, ANAROCK, JLL Fund India, ICICI Bank, LIC Housing Finance Limited, and Standard Chartered Bank. His career has been defined by successfully managing large-scale portfolios, developing capital partnerships, and launching scalable investment platforms across the real assets and private capital ecosystem.

Based in Mumbai, Saandip brings a powerful blend of strategic vision, deep financial acumen, and operational excellence—making him a key force in shaping the future of RMZ’s private capital business and its ambitions as a next-generation alternative asset owner.

K. Jayakumar

With a career spanning over four decades, Jayakumar has played a pivotal role in executing numerous RMZ investments across real estate and infrastructure sectors.

A distinguished professional, Jayakumar’s career is marked by his extensive expertise in project and construction management, corporate relations, international partnerships, and real estate development. His notable background includes a proven track record in managing international real estate development projects with significant effectiveness. 

Based in Bengaluru, Jayakumar previously held key positions at major construction firms such as Larsen & Toubro, Howe (India) Ltd., and the WJ Towell Group, among others. His tenure with these leading organisations provided him with invaluable experience and refined skills, preparing him for his influential role in the real estate and construction sectors. Jayakumar’s unwavering dedication and extensive experience make him an invaluable asset to both the industry and RMZ.

Deepak Chhabria

President, RMZ Infrastructure

Deepak Chhabria is the Chief Executive Officer of RMZ Infrastructure and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. In his capacity, Deepak spearheads the company's strategic direction, with emphasis on developing essential infrastructure sectors such as energy, transportation, digital technology, and water management. His primary focus is on driving economic growth, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing public health through innovative strategies and digital solutions across all operational domains.

Deepak is an erudite in the financial services industry with a career spanning three decades holding key management positions at financial institutions like Birla Sun Life, IL&FS Investsmart, Collins Stewart, and Religare Capital Markets. A noteworthy milestone in Deepak's career was his instrumental role in structuring and listing the Religare Health Trust during his tenure as CEO, making it India's First Healthcare Trust listed in Singapore, showcasing Deepak's profound understanding of complex financial transactions and regulatory environments.

He is based in Bengaluru and his extensive experience encompasses roles in both government and private sector management, where he has been instrumental in facilitating over 40 Indian public market deals. Deepak Chhabria's career is a testament to his unwavering dedication, strategic acumen, and leadership in financial services.
